2020 Alice Springs Beanie Festival Voting update

Hi everyone, a huge thank you to everyone who has voted in the Alice Springs On-line exhibition. It all ends tomorrow so there is still time to cast your vote, it’s close, so every vote counts.

Here’s a little bit of background for my entry ‘A Pygmy Possum, Wombat & flame Robin enjoying the Alpine Spring

& here’s where to vote

The piece depicts the Flora & Fauna of the Australian Alpine region. As best I could, I tried replicating this landscape with crochet & felting (both wet & needle).

Alice Springs Beanie Festival 2020

As many of you know the Alice Springs Beanie Festival 2020 was cancelled due to Covid-19.

However, not to be defeated,  the organisers decided on an on-line exhibition where you can vote for your favourite entry. Entries have closed now  & voting has begun.

The theme is ‘Stitching the Seasons’

You can view all entries here.

& this is my entry – ‘A Pygmy Possum, Wombat & Flame Robin enjoying the Alpine Spring

To vote: click on the photo & follow the prompts. You will be sent a confirmation email so you can vote. You only need to do this once.

For those who love the Alice Springs Beanie festival, voting is an active way of supporting the organisers & artists, so pop on over & enjoy.

Tea Cosy to Wow your Guests No 1

Budgie Paradise.

This is the first of a number of Tea Cosies I’ve been working on these past months. I will post more over the following days as I get photos done. I love the little Budgies sitting among the Aussie flora.

And, for those interested & would like to have a go yourselves, the Budgie pattern is available here
