I must say it took a bit of brain teasing putting these techniques for decreasing, increasing & shaping in crochet into words… but, hopefully the instructions & drawings are clear & easy to understand… moreover, they help to make your crocheting life just that little bit easier…..
At last… I’ve found joy in knitting…
just discovered – The Clone Stitch….
Ok… so it’s been around for donkey’s ages (re: Irish Crochet) but I’ve only just discovered this amazing little stitch & have been incorporating it into my freeform work – although traditionally worked in cotton thread, I’ve been experimenting with different yarns & hook sizes & the results are fabulous – you’ll find the instructions on Novel stitches if you’d like to give it a go … experiment & have fun….
Crystal Grove sees the light of day….
I’ve kept this freeform piece under wraps for far too long & think it’s time for it to see the light of day – Crystal Grove is a special favourite of mine because it was inspired in a remote forest reserve where I often go for solace and inspiration which influenced the colours, textures and mood of this composition. A combination of delicate to vibrant green shades & edged with pale green artificial crystal beads give this piece a mystical look & feel – closure is a large hook & eye at top neckline.
A truly unique, one of a kind garment – I hope you like it…
Crochet Tips & Tricks update….
just finished this new page adding to the Crochet Tips & tricks collection with what I trust is useful & helpful information for bringing in new yarn & joining crochet fabric, squares & motifs & hopefully enhancing both your tradition & freeform work – enjoy….
