2 Continuous Shells Crochet patterns

In reply to the many inquiries I’ve received for these continuous crochet shell patterns, here are 2 shell patterns, each using your choice of 3, either contrasting or harmonious, coloured yarns but each worked a little differently.

They are easy beginner patterns but also interesting enough for the more experienced.

The colour change is at end of each row by dropping the working colour & carrying up & bringing in the new colour in the last 2 loops of last stitch, therefore no need to cut off yarn at each end.

I find this technique neat enough to eliminate edging, but this is a personal choice. If you prefer to edge, there is no reason why you can’t, just remember to keep the same stitch count for each 4 sides.

Requirements: 8 ply yarn in 3 different colours, hook size 4.50 (US:G), darning needle to weave in tail ends, scissors,

The pattern includes:
both UK & US terminology written pattern
pattern diagrams (charts)

I’ve also given stitch multiples (6+2) so you’re able to make a small knee rug or a large bedspread, it’s totally up to you.

These continuous shell patterns are also great stash busters, work in your own yarn of choice & appropriate hook. This is your project, experiment with colours & yarn & most of all, enjoy.

The patterns are available for sale from my online shop or if you prefer from Etsy
