Merry Christmas & Happy 2017 to you all…

xmas-16-3xxHello everyone,… as many of you may already know, my mother passed away Sunday, Nov 13th, after a long & gruelling illness. She is now resting in peace which is a true blessing. I’d like to thank everyone for the kind messages & thoughts I’ve received throughout these many months. Your support, concern & care has been heartening & greatly appreciated, making this distressing time more bearable.

It’s been a difficult year, one that has been mostly on hold, & the many projects I had intended for the 2016 have been on the back burner but, I trust, I will get my mojo back over time…

I hope 2016 has been a happy & healthy one for you all & that 2017 begins well & brings many fabulous inspirations & new interesting crochet challenges.

I’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas & all the very best for the New Year ahead. cheers, Renate

  2. Renate: You have my sincere sympathy. Losing a Mom is such a difficult thing to go through. Your memories of her will keep her alive in your heart. Wishing you a wonderful 2017. You are blessed with a beautiful talent. Thank you for sharing them with us.

  3. Dear Renate,
I’m a relative newcomer to freeform crochet and have been greatly inspired by your wonderful book. I am so sorry to hear of your sad loss. I hope that you will be able to take things steadily and gradually get back to yourself.
I was interested to read in your book that you once lived in Woolongong. We live in the UK but my son has just gone to live in Woolongong with his Australian girlfriend. It’s a small world!
    Kind regards

  4. I’m sorry for your loss. Give yourself time to heal and don’t try to force creativity. Go slowly and work on small things…….your mind may not stay focused for very long. Maybe make a scarf in your moms favorite colors ( mixed with your favorite colors ) to wear this winter. This approuch helped me find my way back to the real world.

  5. I’m so sorry about your loss but there is certainly comfort in knowing someone you loved so much is at peace and no longer facing her illness daily. I went through this 2 years ago with my own mother – I miss her everyday but I would not want her here to endure the things she faced before passing. You have my sympathies and prayers. We look forward to a new chapter for 2017. Blessings, Ceresa

  6. Renate, I wasn’t aware off your loss and send my condolences. We all wish for a better year in 2017, bringing good health and happiness.
Looking forward to getting back into my crochet.
    Wendy. Xx
