Alpine Spring; An Aussie Tea Cosy.
A, One-of-a-kind, Tea Cosy, created for the 2020 Alice Springs Beanie Festival Competion. Read about it here.
The Tea Cosy is embellished with a collection of crochet Flora & Fauna found in Australian’s Alpine region. As best I could, I tried replicating this landscape with crochet & felting (both wet & needle).
The Tea Cosy body, crocheted in a chunky, hand-spun yarn, has a berry/bobble pattern to ensure good heat retention.
The Tea Cosy fits an average size tea pot & has a button/loop closure for easy access with openings for spout & handle.
